Re: thoughts

Many thanks; I'll look for Checklist - Gawande started the Village movement; there's a branch of it here called South Whidbey at Home; we're members, and I may try volunteering as well. The write-up would be useful; thanks. What format are the handouts and books in? If they're eBooks or PDF they'd be welcome as well.

Re-PC and Interconnections both look interesting; right now I have rather a surplus of power bricks (in part thanks to a couple of trips where I forgot to bring one -- iGo makes the best ones). I also have a surplus of laptops, though only a few of them are modern enough to run my preferred window manager configuration, which relies on using the logo/windows/apple key to keep from stepping on Emacs's use of Alt. And I finally found the adapter I had been looking for. But it might be worthwhile looking for a tablet, and maybe a slightly newer small laptop.
