I never came back to Patreon after the big kerfluffle, and I'm not likely to. My biggest concern was one that got rather little attention. They were going to tack on a huge surcharge to $1 contributions (which I was making a bunch of) without obtaining the donors' consent. I read through their terms of service, and nothing lets Patreon unilaterally increase people's contributions or impose a surcharge on them. They were ready to start taking in money they had no legitimate claim on. The fact that they backed off under massive pressure isn't good enough for me.
