Thankful Thursday

Today I am grateful for...

• Caffeine.
• Colonoscopies. Okay, they're annoying and uncomfortable. But way better than the possible alternative.
• Cat cuddles. Maybe I can get back to sleep at 3am, maybe I can't, but either way it's better with cat cuddles.
• Routers that can be re-flashed with Linux. Also, DD-WRT, OpenWrt, and powerline ethernet adapters (See also, 0126Th).
• Git-based file synchronization.
• Blue cheese. (Also cheese in general, but blue in particular.)

Cat cuddles are a delight. It's also fun to watch the kitten walk along the top of the walk-in tub to watch me take a bath. This after he got the plug out of the drain, leaving it laying forlornly by the drain. He also batted the water as it came out of the tap, not caring about getting wet.

I, too, am grateful for git-based file synchronization. Also an easy publishing pipeline for my blog, yay. Way easier to manage than trying to do it with sftp.

Web publishing has come a long way since the time I was using a makefile to shove a list of commands into ftp.
