Thankful Thursday

Today I am grateful for...

• The Public Domain.
• Logitech Anywhere mice, mainly for having a middle button separate from the scroll wheel.
• The fact that olive oil is part of the (Mediterranean) diet that all my cancer sites recommend (as I sit here eating leftover shrimp scampi).
• Abiraterone acetate.
• The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), because where else can you find a DIY LEGO Watt balance (Kibble balance).
• (And, in a completely different direction) the urban wildlife -- mostly crows and the occasional rabbit (and semi-wild life -- at least three different cats, which might be feral but are more likely to be indoor-outdoor pets) -- I can watch from my office window.

that's funny, when I heard "Kibble balance" I was thinking dry pet food.... but no, that's the dude's name...

As for the outdoor cats... the orange tabby is MuShu and I think belongs next door... I know there's also a piebald and I think there's a black one?

There definitely used to be a black one - first time I saw it I looked around to make sure Bronx hadn't escaped. Haven't seen it in a while, though.
