Today I am grateful for...

EV’s being much less expensive to service than infernal combustion cars.
Cheap, powerful SBCs (like the one I just ordered from Pine64).
Not having a computer capable of running Windows 11, let alone Copilot+ Recall.
Starliner making it to the International Space Station despite having been made by Boeing.
Chocolate. Especially dark chocolate.

They weren't terribly worried about the helium leaks, it posed a risk of a loss of redundancy that's all... not a loss of function, just a degrading of the back-up.

Then there was SpaceX Starship IFT4 launch today... which made it all the way up, and all the way down in a controlled fashion, despite the heat shield failing in it's flaps and basically melting the wings off!! The adaptive software re-learnt how to control the ship after losing some of it's controls, literally on the fly!

I dunno what OS they're using, but I bet it's not Windows 11 and it's A.I

That's pretty impressive.

Yeah, I watched it live and you should have heard the cheering from mission control. It's pretty much fully autonomous so they get to sit back and watch the show same as we do, and they were fully cheering on the little rocket that could!
