Living with -- ooh! shiny!

For those on my flist who are presently living with, or contemplating living with, somebody with ADHD, here's an article titled Living And Loving ADHD that may give you an idea of why it's worthwhile. Your mileage may vary, of course.

She could have been describing Patrick! Thanks for posting the link to this article. She hits the nail on the head when she says there are benefits and that society only sees the drawbacks. All I know is that my husband is brilliant, he is one of the most caring people I have ever met, and he has an ability to enjoy himself in a way few grown ups do. I know he has struggled with the way his brain works, and I am delighted that he found some medication to help him concentrate. One of the best things about Patrick is that for him, it is all about the journey. It isn't that destinations are bad, but maybe not entirely necessary. We are wired very differently, and we make a damn good team, and every day I give thanks that he is who he is, even when he has lost his car keys, or wallet, or passport. Cause it's the journey that counts.
