should try Windows sometime. In this case, Windows 98, on a machine that's going to replace flower_cat's main machine in our bedroom. I lost count of the number of times I had to reboot the damned thing.

Then I needed to run Windows Update -- and of course IE4 barfs on some bogus Javascript in the update page. So I install IE6, which I was going to have to do anyway, and which required yet another reboot. Then running update, which required three more reboots.

After which, it was a real pleasure to install Mozilla, and reboot one final time to re-install Grub from the Linux partition.

Excuse me; I have to go wash my hands.

soz but at least with wondows for your average joe user you can put in a cd and have some kind of operating system without having to spend about three days on the web reading loads of shit only to find out once linux is installed .....IT DOESNT FRIKIN WORK !!!
