Hey suckers! Did you buy DRM music from Wal*Mart instead of downloading MP3s for free from the P2P networks? Well, they're repaying your honesty by taking away your music. Unless you go through a bunch of hoops (that you may never find out about, if you've changed email addresses or if you're not a very technical person), your music will no longer be playable after October 9th.

Not familiar with the Australian sense, but the problem isn't specific to WalMart. It's totally generic to DRM schemes - they only work as long as the company you're renting the music from keeps the servers running.

We have never bought anything from Samuel Wahl & Associates,(say it with a Brooklyn/Italian accent, please) & this is one of those times that I'm pleased with that record.

The only music we have with DRM (that I'm aware of) is a best of Kansas disc. We have the original.

My understanding is that Wally is a pejorative term in Australia. Beyond that, I'm at sea.
