A long, exhausting day. Nothing actually bad happened, and it wasn't really all that much work. Picking the YD up at school and taking her to an MRI appointment was ok, as was picking up take-out ribs afterwards. And the rehearsal with Marty was fine, though I had to cut it short because I was feeling sleepy, and my throat was starting to get scratchy.

But the day started with an all-hands meeting on very short notice (after I had already settled down for a good day's working from home) which I barely had time to get to. I arrived only 5 minutes late to the news that my new boss was no longer at the company. It's ok -- I apparently wasn't the only one who found him hard to work with. But... I realized in retrospect that, positive or not, a major change like that is going to use up emotional spoons. I was seriously dragging by the time I splatted into bed around 11.
