On the good side, I made shrimp Louis for dinner, sold a CD, and actually fixed a couple of long-standing bugs in my transpose.pl program at home. And took a good walk -- I'm finally learning my around the DeAnza campus.

Just in time to be moving a week from Tuesday. On the bad side, it's been confirmed that I'll be in a cubicle again, for the first time in nearly 18 years. I half-way expected it, but it definitely cast a pall over the afternoon; I got very little done, and realized later in the evening that I was grieving, though only mildly. I think.

I Do Not Like cubicles. It could easily have a huge negative affect on my productivity, and so on the probability that I'll stay as opposed to going back to research. If the half-megabuck I need fell into my lap, I'd retire at the end of the year. It won't, and I know better than to wish for it.

On the gripping hand, there are several good links up there under the cut. Especially Don't listen to Le Corbusier--or Jakob Nielsen (@snipeyhead).
