Felt oddly down all day, with only a short walk despite the perfect walking weather. Felt a huge amount of -- don't know: stress? tension? anxiety?... Tight across the chest, but no other anxiety symptoms. Also pain in the left hip left over from the weekend; can't tell whether it's a tight muscle or the joint. A short walk did nothing to help loosen it up. Grumble.

The down mood seems pretty clearly related to the overcast weather and low light level, so that's an interesting data point suggesting that I ought to try a SAD light. The tension, or whatever it is, could be related to the hip pain. Or it could be work-related. Or not. Yes, I'm taking aspirin.

Had my first encounter with Google's Ajaxified search, after upgrading to google-chrome-unstable -- it's cool. (You can see it in action in this video of Tom Lehrer's song, "The Elements". Fun!)
