No.

ETA: Not in general, anyway. If they deliberately set out to make criminals of their kids, or encourage their illegal acts, they should be considered accessories or worse. I.e., if somebody tells their kid to go kill X because the kid is a minor and will get off lightly, that's clearly criminal in itself. But bad parenting decisions in general shouldn't be criminalized.

Parents who raise their kids in a religion that leads them to perform criminal acts, such as abusing women or murdering abortion providers, probably should be held responsible, but that won't happen.

Some states make parents legally responsible if their children skip high school, including jail time. I know Pennsylvania, Texas and Virginia are three that do fines and jail time for parents.

Parents who physically drive their kids to school, walk them to home room, and then go on to their jobs still get dinged when the kid just walks out the back door after mom or pop leaves. Totally unfair.

California has sympathy, and if a parent shows they are trying to get an incorrigible truant to school, the state won't gig them.

I first read that as "leading a course to waiter" which would make for a whole other topic.

Don't get me started on this topic, my rant will get real incoherent real fast.
