mdlbearWent to Fry's this morning after my walk, and picked up a Maxtor 160GB disk drive for $69. That's under $0.50/GB! My first disk drive purchase was $500 for a pair of used 8" floppy drives, for a grand total of 500KB, or $1/KB, some time around 1983. That's a factor of two million in price... and exactly what you'd expect for 21 years with a doubling time of a year.
