Thankful Thanksgiving Weekend

This weekend I'm grateful for...

• A roof over my head.
• Good food to eat.
• Gainful employment, so I can afford to keep the above.
• A half-hour commute by bus into downtown Seattle.
• Colleen, both my kids, and my sister of choice, all living within easy driving distance.
• Democrats retaining control of the White House and Senate.
• Seattle.
• A mild climate with both rain and sunlight. The sun just came out, which I am going to take as a good omen.

I was just thinking of posting my thankfulness on facebook for atheism, rationality, and ever-decreasing church attendance, but the inevitable backlash of ignorance causes me to be wary.
