it's interesting that the boundaries are so fuzzy. Most of my experience is in c# and Python, and I have a hard time differentiating "programming" from "scripting."
...I thought scripting was more along the lines of "program x lets me write some interpreted code that pulls on the features of the program," but that's probably closer to a macro.. or so vague as to be completely useless, as one could argue that that's a shell script and also c# in a nutshell.
