I don't seem to be tracking my mood very closely -- only when it's bad enough to be noticeable. I spent most of this past week depressed and hopeless, but I seem to remember more good spots toward the end of the week, which included the drive to Coupeville for Colleen's catheter change (with a scenic detour on the way back), and working on this week's s4s. I'm hoping that some of the links there will help my singing teacher (N') (and in fact started putting together an email before I realized that it would make a good s4s).

A couple of trips to the garage -- that's always depressing because so many things there are attached to memories and regrets. But I actually got a few things done there, including recycling some cardboard and figuring out how to install the 32" TV in the living room. (But not doing it.)

There are still far too many things that I've left undone. And I'm a single point of failure for the North End of the household. Molly is another -- it's a damned good thing that EVs require next to no maintenance.

The political situation in the US is beyond depressing. See notes.

Crisis builds community from within. Six weeks ago, my mom had just died, I was laid
off, my knee replacement had just been postponed as an elective surgery, and the
Mermaid's Tavern was a pile of old Macs and cables in my basement. I needed
motivation to face a pandemic day to day. I found it in a community that urgently
needed to sing together. Thank you all for making me believe I too could be
      essential.

powered by a living community organism. There's nothing like it hot and fresh.

going back. Online community is here to stay. "
