The Answer Beast

The VoIP project is making slow but steady progress; I finally have a set of Makefiles and configuration files that work pretty well, I have the connections to and from the analog phones and the telco working (i.e., I can call out and call in), and I'm getting the hang of configuring Asterisk.

The next parts of the project are

1. getting my VoIP service provider (VoicePulse Connect) interfaced
2. getting voicemail working
3. putting the config files on the web where other folks can see them.

Weekend (shopping) Summary

I actually spent most of the weekend working on Asterisk (see previous post); had the house all to myself Saturday afternoon but wasn't able to make terribly effective use of the time.

Sunday the flower_cat and I went out for a combined drive and shopping expedition. The main item was a new comforter for our bed; the current ones are about a decade old and getting rather frayed around the edges. Luckily we had a 20%-off-on-any-one-item coupon for Bed, Bath and Beyond.
