It's been noted on /. that the odds on a collision with asteroid 2004mn4 are up to 1/37.

On the bright side, someone else notes that it's three days before US income taxes are due. Good excuse to file for an extension?

... or asteroid, in this case. NASA has now ruled out the possibility of an earth impact in 2029, and downgraded it to a 1 on the Torino scale. It still comes awfully darned close, though.

It's a little disappointing, really. Friday the 13th was such an appropriate day.
