So far today I have:
  1. Updated the DNS config on the gateway to make it use the same zone file as the main internal server. This is safe only because it's not serving DNS to the world at large.
  2. Brought the new named.conf.local files under CVS control, replacing the old (RedHat) named.conf files. Debian 3.1 does things differently.
  3. Installed a shelf to hold one of the two UPS's. This is something I've been meaning to do for months.
  4. Replaced the battery on one of the UPS units (the one on the bottom, hence the shelf).
  5. Plugged the keyboard connector back into the rack's KVM switch -- I'd been wondering why it didn't seem to be working, but didn't want to take a machine down to diagnose it...
  6. Diagnosed a firewall problem -- it hadn't properly cached its state the last time I shut down the gateway, so it came up with an earlier, broken cached state.
Think I'll go out for a walk.
