Shiny!

The new vinyl flooring in the kitchen, laundry room, and front bathroom looks spectacularly good. It's imitation stone tiles in light grey and light brown; much lighter than the dark-green-with-gold marble-like pattern we had before. I'm thinking that redoing the living room in natural-colored bamboo will be a Good Thing.

We also have new drainpipes. Yay!! We can finally use our garbage disposal (after 20 years). The plumbers had to go in through the floors, since our crawlspace is inadequate; we had a hatch installed in the laundry room. Yes, we should have had the new drains and the new copper pipes installed at the same time.

And my new mini-ITX case finally arrived as well. It's a Casetronic/Morex Cuboid 2699. I was starting to wonder, since it was ordered at the same time as my EPIA 5000 board. The case is going to house the recording machine, since it has room for a 3.25" hard drive and a PCI card.

Overall, I think I'm most excited about the drains.

... to lovers everywhere, and especially to my own beloved flower_cat. I hope you liked the pot of purple tulips. And the kids, of course -- can't forget the kids: chaoswolf and super_star_girl; and _amethyst_fire_, who sometimes feels like my kid even though she isn't. (And who I ganked this icon from -- I hope she doesn't mind.)

Either I'm in a particularly strange mood, or I'm coming down with the flu. Maybe both.
