Notes from the Podfather

Both kids were up at 6:30 this morning. super_star_girl came downstairs and made coffee. When I went upstairs 15 minutes or so later to tell them it was ready, I found them gaming, and giggling. Being pod children at that point, they promptly greeted me as "Podfather". I'm not complaining.

It was particularly surprising to see the chaoswolf up so early, since she had been out at karaoke with sailorv61, and got in sometime after 2am.

It's difficult for me to express how unusual this all is -- normally they're sleeping until after noon, and then at one another's throats the rest of the day. I was greatly tempted to check the local section of the paper for flying pig sightings. (No, but people have seen mountain lions in the more rural parts of S. San José.)

Lazy Sunday

It's been a mostly-unproductive Sunday, though I did get in a good walk, a much-needed trip to BevMo to replenish the gin supply (among other things), and a bit of yard work (both as a way of encouraging the kids, who were working on the back yard at the time, and as an excuse for a cold beer afterwards). Got the front roses trimmed somewhat -- at least back to the point where I could see what else needs doing. I stopped when the yard trash bin was full; need to haul out the Round-up tomorrow for those persistent clumps of grass.

Not much done on the recording front, just a little more documentation and organizing in the Concerts directory (which is distinctly not ready for the website yet).
