Went to bed at about 10:30 last night after fighting sleep for most of an hour. Apparently I needed it; unlike most times when I get to bed that early, I woke up at my usual 6:15am feeling more-or-less awake. On the other hand, almost nothing got done yesterday, and in particular no recording.

Taking the kids to their respective destinations ate up about 50 minutes. Slightly better than last week -- I'm still experimenting with routes back from where the [livejournal.com profile] chaoswolf works. So far Alum Rock is the winner -- it's about the same time (20 min) as the freeway, with less hassle and less risk of a major accident-caused delay.

The [livejournal.com profile] chaoswolf got her first paycheck today, and took us out to dinner. For sushi at Kobe, which was exactly what I would have predicted if anyone had asked. Went out for a drive afterward, so little has been done around the house.

No, I'm not posting the meme. I don't know who started it, or what their real purpose was. There are more human rights problems in this country -- this world, for that matter -- than can be summed up in a handful of two-word slogans. A copy of the Bill of Rights with most of it crossed out comes closer.
