Today at the Starport
2006-12-28 10:45 pm Took a walk today along Los Gatos Creek, which is where I usually go when
I'm home and not pressed for time. Didn't walk yesterday; it wasn't
raining but the wind was impressive. Judging from the number of dark
traffic lights along the way home from taking
chaoswolf to
work, and the downed tree alongside the creek trail, it's probably just as
well that I didn't go out in it.
I also seem to have lost a couple of pounds since last week; may just be random fluctuations, but I'm not complaining.
Went for a drive with the
flower_cat, mostly figuring out how
we're going to celebrate our anniversary a week from yesterday. Nice to
have an opportunity to just hang out and talk. Drove all the way down to
Gilroy this time, and back along Monterey Expressway through parts of
Gilroy and Morgan Hill that we don't usually get to see. A lot of new
construction, and we spotted two microbreweries along the way.
Mostly worked on "About Bleeding Time", though there's comparatively little in the way of actual tracks to show for it. Almost all of the text is done; I still have some work to do to pull the audio out of one of the concerts, which was recorded to DVD.
Went to Fry's and bought a couple of Gigabit ethernet cards (on sale for $8/each) and a Linksys travel router (which I'll probably be needing at Mom's and will be useful other places as well).
