Saturday morning at GAFilk

And I really should have called home earlier, so I could talk to the girls before they went to bed. Actually, I should have called in the morning to give them an incentive to wake up. I did comparatively little actual singing -- swapped a couple of songs in a quiet corner with![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
catsittingstill, and eventally tracked down cflute, along with quadrivium, mnemex, and a couple of others whose LJ names I almost remember but am too lazy to look up and get right, in the room next to the con suite. I like the circles that are small enough that you can have a little conversation between songs and not feel that you're slowing things down. Sang "Ta(l)king Preorders", "Cicero", and "World Inside the Crystal". Finally met jenkitty, though only briefly.
Album preorders are starting to come in; four cash orders so far at the con, and who knows how many on the Web -- checking my mail at home is possible, but not really pleasant. Put my preorder package into the InterFilk auction.
The Mac continues to be annoying. I came into the room after Opening Ceremonies and heard a whirring sound -- it was coming from the Mac, which was sitting in its padded carrying case happily running down its batteries and cooking itself to death. From now on I put it to sleep from the menu. The key-bindings are as badly screwed up as ever. It may be Unix underneath, but the good people at Apple seem to keep it as far underneath as possible.
