I actually managed to get quite a few things done, plus brunch (at El Torito -- yummy) and a good long walk. I finally broke 10,000 steps for the day, about a week after I acquired my pedometer. Go me!

A lot of the day's accomplishments involved some long-delayed spam handling, working on my sorting rules. Would have been better if I'd done it back in March when I figured out what it needed. But it's done. And I've given a hard drive to the Wolfling, plus a USB/eSATA dock. Not what I'd planned, but this works better. The 500GB IDE drive will go into the gateway machine, which has the Debian mirror.

And gave Chaos and Selkit some advice that finally soaked through and got S, at least, switched over into optimistic problem-solving. Their situation is still pretty dicey, though.

On the whole a good day.

Party at the Starport Saturday 2010-01-02

Grand Central Starport's "sometime around New Year" party is happening on Saturday, January 2^nd this year. It's also our 34^th anniversary, but the only thing you need to bring is something for the potluck. There will probably be singing at some point.

As usual, it's basically from noon until everybody leaves sometime around midnight. Also as usual, you can find maps, directions, and contact information on the Starport's web page.

No need to RSVP. Hope to see you there if you happen to be in the (San Francisco Bay) area.
