mdlbear: blue fractal bear with text "since 2002" (Default)
raw notes )

So... Hmm. The high point of the day was a phone conversation with Naomi, which started from a whimsical text message. I like whimsy, and my sister-of-choice has been very good at re-introducing me to that side of myself.

Baycon starts a week from tomorrow. I'M NOT READY!

I still don't know when I'll be back in R&D. Hopefully that can get pinned down this week.

Quite a bit of version-control puttering, at work (project-management makefiles) and at home (looking at CVS repos in $HOME). I meant to transition from CVS to git years ago, but never did; now I have a weird mix of CVS, git, and uncontrolled working directories. Not at all ready for prime time. At least the ones that I actually sync with my netbook are all consistently in git.

Lots of links again; probably the best is Preparedness 101: Zombie Apocalypse from (of all places) CDC.gov. Though I must say the yarn-bombers are right up there. Did I mention that I like whimsy?
