I may have to count this one as a good week. Last Sunday I sang "Ship of Stone" in the Nonsonance closing ceremony. So... music. I need to practice more. Tuesday I acquired a tech-writing gig. Wednesday I put Colleen's rotating, sliding bath chair together; she used it Thursday, with a few glitches but mostly success. Win. Saturday S got her first shot of Pfizer vaccine at Whidbey Medical Center in Coupeville. And Saturday was also my birthday.

The day was brightened by a visit from N, who came bearing a chocolate cake covered with marzipan! We sang "Bells of Norwich" and "Lock-Keeper", off-book because it was on the back deck. I'm terribly out of practice, but it was good anyway. And, thanks to the newest CDC guidelines, we had our first hug in over a year. (That was after S and Colleen had gone back inside -- safe because I'm fully-vaccinated; the others are only half-vaxed.)

So far I have completely unpacked one box of the shipment from Mom's -- the one with her computer. I've opened a couple more to verify contents. I'll probably have to set up a workstation in the music room, which I ought to have done anyway.

Top link of the week is Scientists Have Unlocked the Secrets of the Ancient 'Antikythera Mechanism'; it includes a rather spectacular video of the reconstructed device. Links to that and the paper in Nature under Friday.
