The little scrape turned into a huge hematoma (often called a "goose egg", only this one is more like ostrich) and a lot of pain. I took her in to the ER at about 8am; currently waiting for a CAT scan (seems appropriate) and lab results. Meanwhile I'm grabbing a fast brunch (PB/chutney sandwitch) before going out for the Wednesday shopping. I'm expecting to be home most of this evening; not entirely clear whether the Cat will be but I'm hopeful.

Not how I was planning to spend my week.

I know it's Wednesday, so who knows what might arrive, but would you like me to bring over some real food, tonight, so you and the girls can eat something like real dinner, while you're dealing with all this? I can whip up a casserole. Comfort food seems called for, at this point.

Second this, both parts. :(

If there's anything I can do to help while I'm around, I'll be happy to give it my best shot.

See you tonight!

Hey, this sounds like a great idea--get your friends who ask, Is there anything I can do? to provide you with a freezable pre-cooked meal that you can choose to eat then or later. Specifiy ingredients to stay away from, as well as what is preferred.

So, what can we do, here at Chez Bejeeber?
