C|Net: Microsoft to license Unix code, which explains why SCO is suing IBM and threatening the rest of the Linux community. (We note in passing that SCO's Unix was originally derived from Microsoft's Xenix. Hmm.)

Be really interesting if it turns out that some of what they're licensing turns out to be GPLed. Since its purchase by Caldera, at the time a Linux distributor, the ancestry of SCO Unix has been, at least potentially, somewhat mixed.

Eric Raymond's analysis of the lawsuit is at http://www.opensource.org/sco-vs-ibm.html
