She bounded out of bed at 7:30 -- can't figure out why she never did that for school... Trip went without mishap; she's going to have a lot of fun.

It's an easy 4-hour drive to the camp, which is just off US101 about 2 miles N of Laytonville (most of the way to the Oregon border).

It's on the left, with a smallish sign. It comes after two turnouts on the right, and almost immediately after a tree right next to the road with a US Route 101 sign just in front of it (not actually attached the the tree, but it almost looks that way).

I need to remember, though, that when you take two easy 4-hour drives and jam them together in one day, and don't bother stopping in the second drive because you're anxious to get home and not really hungry, you end up with a rather grueling 8-hour drive. Ouch. I used to be able to do that with a lot less pain in the knee...

Problem is other folks don't use it too.

I kept having to adjust my speed on I-5 on the way up to Seattle. Didn't even try on 101 back down.
