Health update

mdlbear Wednesday I went in for a physical, in large part because I needed to discuss new medication for post-nasal drip. Actually, the Flonase was already sitting there in the pharmacy waiting for me, but the phone message telling me that had been languishing on my voice mail for a week because the little light on the phone that tells me I have a message wasn't working.
[For those who need it, like me, Flonase is definitely better than Nasarel (which tastes foul). It appears to be working.]
Labs were good except for slightly low HDL levels. Because she's been concerned about my hearing (no, I can't hear you when I'm in another room and the water is running -- sorry),![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
flower_cat suggested I get my hearing checked. Did that today.
I'm definitely losing the high end -- the right ear is down about 20dB at 8KHz. And it's more like 6KHz in the left ear. That, and the fact that the ears are significantly different, is apparently cause for concern; I have an appointment on the 30th. Very annoying.
Bottom line: cholesterol OK; post-nasal drip improving; hearing deteriorating. Grumble. Could be worse, I suppose.
