(Sometimes I wonder if any of today's psychoactive drugs would improve my life as drastically as they've improved life for several of my friends, including you. I'll never find out, though, because I can't afford them...)

In order to get even generic drugs, I'd have to see a doctor who would write a prescription. But, since I don't live in a civilized country, I'd have to pay the doctor. Perhaps if that ever changes...

There's an enormous, prestigious medical school not too far from me... but there's no provision for cheap medical care from interns. The interns are too busy working in the university hospital, where patients are charged standard fees no matter who actually provides the care (unless, of course, it's an actual doctor, whose fees are added to the hospital's basic costs). I sure wish H.R. 676 would get passed...
