  * awake 6:30; W=190; drugs, nose
  & up 8:30; coffee
  * lunch at Iberia with Colleen and Jen
    ! great fun to watch Jen enjoying something new and tasty.
  * spice shopping at Penzey's
  * set up WB concert: Th or Fr afternoon, 5/21 or 22
  & Colleen very tired by the end of the trip 
    some flail back at WB that made her cry.
  * walk to Rose Garden w\ J - Good conversation
  & YD cooked hamburger

  & 9ish J felt sleepy and retired to the sewing room with a book
  & Went to see Colleen, with laundry and ice cream
  * bath ~10; a little more conversation with J; bed ~11pm
    ! a little lonely, but comfortable

A very good day. Went out to Menlo Park with Jen and Colleen: first to Iberia for tapas, then to Penzey's for shopping and browsing.

Iberia was wonderful -- good food, good company, and watching Jen eat something new and delicious is a real treat in itself. It's good to have our Colleen back, even if it's only for four hours at a time.

Add a couple of good conversations and a walk in the Rose Garden with Jen, and you have a very good, happy day.

Colleen is addicted to Penzey's, AND she's running low of some of her favorite spices she uses at WB to make the food edible. Seeing the menu there, I often wonder how anyone is supposed to get healthy/better. :) The joys of nursing home food.
I am glad to see that Colleen was successfully sprung yesterday. I know she was so looking forward to it.

Drat, the only Penzey's anywhere near here is in Grand Central Station. (And why couldn't they have had a shop there when I used to work at the UN, and hung around the shops in Grand Central on my lunch hour?) Fortunately, my husband's job occasionally puts him in the city during the daytime - if he can manage a few minutes' free time to get to Penzey's, I will text him a shopping list.
