0426 Su & some auditory hallucinations on waking? Seemed to hear IM tones. Odd. * up 6:40; W=188.6; drugs, nose; coffee, C * 7:45-8:47 backups * packed up the Sea & Sand plates for Kat ! accomplishednn * 11am pick up Colleen for lunch at El Torito. She got stuck getting out of the car; we had to call 911. No injuries. ! relieved that she wasn't hurt. Impressed at how well SSRIs keep one from falling apart. = For the record: if she can't stand, get her *back on the seat!* She got stuck because she was too far forward and Jen and I couldn't lift her up high enough to get back on the seat. In part because the door was in the way so we couldn't get on both sides. = To get her up from the ground: lean her against the car, knees slightly bent, then one person under each armpit while the third manoevers the wheelchair. Probably requires beefy firefighters to pull off. * Drive (to the stop sign at Santa Teresa & Bailley) * Conversation at WB with Jen and Colleen. * cleanup at home * chili for dinner: made up on the spur of the moment 2Tbsp Penzey's Chili con carne; 1tsp ancho chili. Beef, bacon, roast pork. red wine, vinegar & Evening with Jen Another brother-sister relationship: getting to be a habit & 9:45 visit with Colleen. Late, but brought ice cream. ! she's frustrated and angry at the situation; hurts to see that. & bed ~11:30
Another very good day despite a bit of an adventure before lunch. Jen, the YD, and I picked up Colleen around 11am and went to El Torito for their Mexican brunch. Colleen had a knee give out getting out of the car, and I made the mistake of trying to get her standing up rather than back on the seat. Big mistake: she ended up stuck; we managed to get her down to the ground with her head leaning against the wheelchair seat. Next time, if she has trouble standing, the number one priority is getting her back in the seat.
We all kept our heads pretty well; Colleen realized that a 911 call was in order, and we were soon thanking the firemen for their help and back on our way to brunch. The YD was freaking out a little and had to be calmed. The rest of us were OK; it's amazing how well antidepressants keep one from falling apart.
After brunch we dropped the YD off at home and went out for a drive, then more conversation at White Blossom before finally helping Colleen into bed and going home, where I did some more decluttering in the bedroom while Jen took a nap.
Since I had some ground beef to use up, I made an impromptu chili for dinner. 2Tbsp Penzey's Chili con carne mix; 1tsp ancho chili powder; beef, bacon, roast pork; red wine, vinegar. Yummy in spite of my having forgotten to add onions or garlic.
Spent a delightful evening with Jen; our friendship seems to have
deepened into another brother-sister relationship, though rather different
from the one I have with pocketnaomi. Jen confirms that I
appear to be an empath.
