I just dropped my younger daughter off at her junior prom. Since her boyfriend is non-local, she's taking her best female friend. They make a gorgeous couple.

Prom dresses have changed a lot since I was that age.

I'm not that old, damnit. Never mind that some people my age have grandkids. I don't want to hear it.

(((((HUGS)))) Nah You aren't that olde, neither am I! Don't let it rattle you...I have a sister who is MUCH younger than me, and she's a grandma already...but my Chaos, is only nearing 16. Oh and yep, styles have really changed in formal-ish wear...but watchout cause the retro look is arising once more. *giggles*

Prom dresses have changed a lot since I was that age. I ain't that old either. You can be as not-old as I am. :P

I didn't go to the prom, although I wished I could have. No boy in my school would have condescended to invite me, and in those days, of course, a girl couldn't do the inviting - nor could two girls go together. (Now I'm showing my age!)

Prom dresses have become sexier in the intervening years, but then so has everyday clothing. And the prom dresses I've seen still stress "glamor" - sequins, satin, everything glittering and shimmering, and "high fashion" designs.

And if it's any consolation, I don't have grandkids, and there are none in the immediate future. I'm in no hurry ;-D
