  & Colleen got up and *got back in bed* without assistance. YAY!!
    ! mudita. Also very pleased because I'll be getting better sleep.
  * up 6:30; W-191; drugs, nose, teeth; coffee, C
  & Keyboard and some related gear moved into -sewing-_music_ room
  & 09:46 found the missing cup-holder (and the spare parts of the other one;
    both were hiding in different places)
  * swap drink holders: attach the one now on walker to Rosebud's _basket_.
  * Walk; about 1/2 hour, with 15-20 minutes of meditation before it.
  * arrange for $group meetings to move to Tuesday because of caregiver grp
  ~ 5:30 group - not enough people
  * working on "I Like Pie".
  | we have one chair too many in the office. Stubbed my toe again.
  & Colleen: Another fall, in the bedroom.
    Overconfidence with the rolling walker, brakes off, and something in one
    hand so she couldn't grab the other handle.
    No injuries, but had to call 911 because getting her up was a
    two-able-bodied-person job again.
  = I need to stop going barefoot around the house; part of the problem was
    hitting my foot on the file cabinet and saying "ouch". That, or get rid
    of more clutter.
  * bed ~10; I wasn't keeping track.

Yesterday was a very good day for Colleen, right up until she tried to sit on the rolling walker with the brakes off and something in one hand. Oops. After several attempts involving me, [livejournal.com profile] figmo, and W. we established once again that getting Colleen to her feet is a two-able-bodied-person job, and called 911 for backup. We got her into the folding chair, and from there by walker to bed.

Plopping herself down a little too heavily on the bed resulted in the drive shaft that runs between the head and foot ends popping out; it took a while for me to figure out how to get it back in place. We both went splat.

One complicating factor was that I hit my foot on the filing cabinet that we're using as a side-table, and said "ouch" while trying to help her back onto the seat. This made Colleen stop letting me help her, as she apparently assumed I was incapacitated. It was about the third time that day I've hit my foot on something -- the other two were chairs. This indicates that there's too much clutter, and that I really need to wear shoes or slippers all the damned time in the house. :(

On the gripping hand, I got some actual work and some actual songwriting done, and finally got a cup-holder installed on the scooter. And a short walk, and some meditation. So... progress? One step forward, one step back, and one step sideways, maybe.

Every time I hear the term "cup holder" I think of CD-ROM drawers, and why would you need one on a scooter? :-)

Footwear = good, especially in a house cluttered with new [to you] furniture with hard bits. Maybe we should give you fun and interesting slippers as fannish gag gifts. Shoe size please?

Miss Figmo is a heck of a good friend.
