A fairly quiet weekend
2004-02-01 10:14 pmGot in a reasonable walk yesterday morning (after a late start because the
flower_cat made waffles for breakfast), followed by a mostly-wasted afternoon around the house watching old CSI episodes on tape while the Cat was out shopping.
Went out in the late afternoon to take advantage of the last weekend of the Container Store's Elfa sale and get shelving for the one remaining shelfless corner of the sewing room. The space is 16x18", making it a natural for the 16" wire shelving. It took a great deal longer than I expected.
Installed the shelving this morning while the Cat made coffeecake for breakfast and omelets for lunch, then the Cat and I went out for an afternoon drive. About 75 miles on a looping path through parts of San Jose, Santa Clara, Alviso, and Milpitas, including some places neither of us had been in years. Fun.
Of course, some of the things I'd originally expected to do this weekend, like buy new fluorescent lights for the back bathroom, upgrade Colleen's computer, and make a trip to Fry's for a small-footprint case for the media server went out the window. Oh, well; I think I needed the break.
