Father's day

I'm sitting in the living room next to Colleen, but I'm oddly lonely and melancholy. My 40th college reunion was this weekend -- there was no way I could possibly have gone. One of my kids is nearly a thousand miles away, as are some of my closest friends.

And my Dad died a decade ago. This is one of the days in the year when I miss him most keenly.

It's not the calling part really. I'm having major mood issues due to meds that I'm on (anger primarily) and I've sort of been avoiding folks which probably makes it worse, sort of. Let me think about it and maybe this week or next week will work out for talking.

OK. I know about that one, too; I'm one of those people who's most reluctant to call my friends when I'm in a bad mood, which is probably when I need it most.
