0905 Sa car, walk, music, drive
  * awake 7:30ish; modified body scan
  * up 8:30; W=195; drugs, nose, teeth; coffee
  * 9:20 Car's done; need to figure out how to get there.  Bus, probably.
    -> Google says it's a little over 3 miles.  Walkies!
  * Walked to Honda dealer, 1:10 or about 3.5 miles.
  * buy coffee
  * Bought briefs in size L as an experiment.
    -> worked -- they fit better than the XL's
  & I can haz concert at ConChord
  & Drive: Down 9 to Santa Cruz and back on 17.
  & Brainstorm with Colleen about setlist for ConChord
  * load drugs for the week
  * bed ~11:15, snuggle

A good day; relaxing. My service rep at the Honda dealership called about 9:20 to say that my car was (finally!) done; a quick check of Google Maps confirmed that it was only a little over three miles. So after a reasonable-sized breakfast of leftover Mexican, I put on my walking shoes. The trip took about 1:10; not terribly scenic, but a good walk.

There were quite a few vacant buildings along the route. These are not good times for business. Also a good number of curb cuts missing, which is something I tend to notice these days.

I can haz concert at ConChord. Yay! Did some brainstorming with Colleen about the setlist, and how best to showcase my songwriting talents. So probably not Riverheart or Ship of Stone, much as I like them.

We took a very pleasant drive up Highway 9 to Santa Cruz, and back on 17. A little over 2 hours, if I remember correctly.

Indeed it was, though it was the company and the scenery that contributed most of the pleasure.

I really like Ship of Stone: it's well up in the running for "Cat's favorite song of all time."

But I won't be going to ConChord :-7 So I guess you can't consider that an audience request.

It's my all-time favorite, and I'll keep nominating it for a Pegasus until it wins.

It was my usual set-closer for years, until I wrote Quiet Victories (which is basically impossible to follow with anything).
