1216 We * up 7:00; W=200.8; drugs, nose, teeth; coffee | benedryl + afrin + aspirin + sleep seems to have worked * water day * bills * export bookmarks from ff (on "organize bookmarks" window) @ The Highly Sensitive Person slightly different test; scored 22; 14=HSP * Walk: twice around pond. Moderately brisk pace. ~5400 steps. * Kat wants to fly home, arriving early afternoon * Jared will pick up Kat at the airport @ Caring for Your Introvert ! 8:15 moved back into office -- too loud in LR. @ Results of the First Temperament and Sexuality Survey Given that caveat, I found that HSPs, whether men or women, were more likely to say “often” or “almost always” to these items: - Finding that sex has a sense of mystery or power about it. - Finding it difficult to return abruptly to ordinary activities after sex. - Not being turned on by strong, explicit sexual cues. - Having areas of your genitals that can be touched in a way that is painful or too intense, even when aroused. - Needing to stop during sex because of being overwhelmed or overstimulated. - Being distracted or interrupted while having sex gets you out of the mood. - While having sex or considering it, being easily disturbed by slight sounds, smells, seeing certain things (in the environment of the other person) - Liking to have things be the same each time you have sex (true for HSWs, but especially true for HSMs.) ... all sounds very familiar. & good conversations with Carole, Kayta * bed ~midnight; S=6831
A pretty good day. The combination of benedryl, afrin, aspirin, and sleep seemed to work well on my flu-shot reaction, and I was pretty much up to par when I got up. Overslept a little, though.
Work was mostly writing; I finished the presentation I've been working on and passed it over to $boss for integration. I like writing. There was also a good talk about the results of a small survey about web services.
I finally started up my pedometer, just before my walk. Twice around the pond was about 5400 steps.
Some link-chasing, mostly on www.hsperson.com. Turned up an interesting survey on HSPs and sex (link up above behind the cut). There was also an article comparing high sensitivity and Asperger's. So, yeah; I'm finding the HSP label a better fit, though not always.
My Wolfling is home for the holidays! Yay!!!
Some good conversations in the evening; some rarely-seen people showed up
to talk to the chaoswolf. And Colleen got me ingredients for
a gluten-free cheese-and-mushroom pizza.
So, yeah; pretty good on the whole.
