A pretty good day. Lots of great links, under the cut as usual. A good walk: 4 times around the pond, with an extra hill going in. And I got a start on configuring the new silent router/gateway machine.

But mostly, it was the end of 2009 and the noughties. Some good things happened -- some very good things -- but on the whole... I'm glad it's another decade. Already it's so much better than last year's start.

I'm feeling happy and hopeful.

weird side note, if you click on the location Grand Central Starport LR it shows a google map of Hong Kong. Well it did for me.

Some great links - thanks Steve! *Diggs, Stumbles*

I really need to find out more about Cory Doctorow's writings. Heard Spider reading one of his short stories on the 'Spider On The Web' podcast recently. :) Got any recommendations on where to start?

I made the mistake of reading the comments on the BetaNews article you linked to - some of the people there have drunk waaay too much Cool-Aid! :| Even worse than the stuff on ZDNet, as if that were possible.
