The fix is to add: "score FH_DATE_PAST_20XX 0.0" to the local.cf file.
- Reluctantly decide not to spend $600 on a Mac mini from Fry's. It'll come
by again, I don't need it this week, and I can't afford it. Maybe wait
for blu-ray.

* dinner out with the Cat - Red Lobster
* figure out which of jack and ->grip is putting m3u files in ~/mp3
make it stop. Redundant because it's filenames, not absolute URLs, so
trivial to derive from the filesystem if wanted.
& rm -rf ~/mp3
& symlink /mm/audio/Various to Various*Artists to unify them.
% nibbling out of habit :-P
Colleen called me on it. Good for her!
* Thankful Thursday
* plugged alarm clock and CPAP into the new UPS. It's probably overkill.
(until I set up a workstation in the bedroom again, of course)

A pretty decent day. An impromptu group meeting where I was told that prospective customers will be perfectly happy without a lot of the tricky stuff we haven't implemented yet. Dinner out with Colleen (a slightly belated Anniversary dinner). Colleen figuring out how to use the Kindle store (which will probably be expensive, but she's happy -- that counts for a lot). A little household infrastructure work, finally getting both my facehugger and my alarm clock onto a UPS. Finding a wonderful but inexpensive gift for a friend at Ross.
On the other hand, I had to cut my walk short because of what felt like an incipient blister on my right little toe. Colleen caught me nibbling -- purely out of habit, I presume -- after dinner. (On the gripping hand, I'm glad she's willing to call me on that, because I really have to lose weight.) And I once again reluctantly decided not to spend $600 on a Mac Mini, which I would use mainly as a media machine and to run software like TaxCut that doesn't run on Linux. Maybe by the time I'm ready to buy one it'll have BluRay. Or I suppose I could find a used one for cheap.
As usual, lots of tasty links up above the cut. Many are from Linux Gazette.
OK, I really can't complain, and my mood pretty much stayed between "good" and "contented", so...
