Hmm. OK, a good day. In spite of my weight continuing to be up, and no walk because of the rain and getting to work late. But I got to see Chaos for a couple of minutes, on her way to FurCon. I got a small demo ready in time for the group meeting; not much, but I'm starting to feel hopeful and productive again. A little.

The project we've been working on recently has now completed curse #2, in a very good way, so we get to start on #3 now. :S

But the very best thing was finding a good home for the XO, which has been languishing of late. Netbooks are lighter, and almost anything has a better keyboard. I've been feeling rather guilty about it. So, a mother who wanted to buy it as a birthday present for her child -- pure glee! She asked whether she could buy it; it was all I could do to keep from saying "of course not!" before explaining that it wouldn't be right for it not to be a gift. *rubs hands gleefully*

Lots of good links. The ones about "shamrock organizations" and "homepreneurs" are particularly interesting-looking in these troubled economic times.

I'm not sure any of those are authentic, but I'm sure "interesting times" is not. It's originally from a sci-fi book (where it was a fictional Chinese curse) and was popularized when quoted by JFK in a speech.

Just FYI :)

I heard them as "May you come to the attention of people in high places" which is approximately the same. The version of #3 I'm familiar with is "May you get what you deserve." Your #3 has a certain poetic appeal, though...
