Once again it's Wishful Wednesday, when I post the usual link to my Caregiver's Wishlist.

Re the list - I note "cleaning" and I wonder whether the YD knows what you want done. I have been frustrated off and on for literally years that Scott doesn't help more with cleaning. In the last year or year and a half, repeated discussion has shown me that he really doesn't notice many of these things or think of them. It is nice to say he should, but he doesn't. After discussion with him, we created an if-then-else list that he can run through several times a week. Are there clean dry dishes on the drying rack or in the dishwasher? Put them away. Are there dirty dishes in the sink? Load the dishwasher or hand-wash (as appropriate). Etc.

I have no idea if that would help with your situation or not. When I was younger, I saw mess just fine, I was just lazy about dealing with it, so this approach wouldn't have helped change my actions much at all. But it's amazing and wonderful to me how many things now get done that didn't before.

I caught some of the weeds out front, while I was over to prune roses. But there are still more...

I'm happy to shelve cookbooks sometime, if I get a good idea of where folks want them filed.

Oh do I know that one. There are never enough bookshelves. I refuse to think there are too many books.
