A good day. Worked on lead sheets in the morning, and finished the day with a nice post-Consonance party at Paul and Beckett's place. Colleen stayed home and played on her brand-new purple Dell netbook, which had arrived in the morning. Spent some time setting it up for her, including getting email (via Evolution) to work.

Some good links under the cut, including an awesome steampunk chair and a very scary article about the nuclear winter that would come about if india and Pakistan start a nuclear war. At least we wouldn't have to worry about global warming...

Ooh, love the steampunk chair!

And an end to India and Pakistani saber rattling.. coupled, alas with an end to India and Pakistan... Let's hear it for small favors. Though to be honest, if global warming goes on long enough it'll cause enough ice to melt into the ocean and dilute the salinity to do things like turning off the Gulf Stream and global warming will likely be the least of our problems. Leastwise, this seems to be how the Younger Dryas episode of the last ice age came about...
