I was getting out of the car after coming home from work.

9: What are you wearing?:
A long-sleeved shirt, moss green with white Chinese dragons on it, made byflower_cat. Black slacks. Black socks. Mephisto hiking shoes. A slightly out-of-it expression.

Probably, but I rarely remember my dreams.
11: When did you last laugh?:
Yesterday, most likely, at a picture of Richard Stallman.
12: What is on the walls of the room you are in?:
Books. That's true of most of the rooms in this house.

There are several unfinished books in my queue; one is Cryptonomicon by Neil Stephenson. Mostly I read magazines and the Web these days.

I skimmed the Cat's copy of OpenOffice.org for Dummies; does that count? Before that, probably my Nth reread of On the Sand Planet by Cordwainer Smith.
15: What is the last film you saw?:
In a theater? Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King.
16: If you became a multi-millionaire overnight, what would you buy first?:
My house, from the bank. A very diversified portfolio of stocks and mutual funds. A couple of AKG-414 mics and one of the Martin 000-15 reproductions with a built-in pickup. Honda doesn't have a hybrid minivan yet.
17: Tell me something about you that I don't know:
My father, in 1980, filed one of the first (if not the first) software patents.
18: If you could change one thing about the world, regardless of guilt or politics, what would you do?:
Eliminate religious fanaticism. Or poverty. Not clear which would do the most good just now. Of course, there's a feedback loop there.
19: Do you like to dance?:
Eastern European folk dance, mostly -- haven't done much of it for years, though. Polka is great fun with a good partner and lots of space.
20: What is the last thing you ate or drank?
Water.
21(a): Imagine your first child is a girl, what do you call her?:
Don't have to imagine: her name is Kathryn Diana.
21(b): Imagine your first child is a boy, what do you call him?:
That was a long time ago, and we knew her sex far enough in advance that I don't think we did much serious work on picking out a boy's name just in case.
22: Would you ever consider living abroad?:
I'm terrible with languages, so it would have to be someplace where they speak English. I have considered Australia and the UK at various times, but not seriously.
