I have a technical question regarding the Mini-10 and Mini-10v. The power
adapters are rated to supply 19v. Most third-party adapters that I've
found supply 19.2v, which is what most other Dell laptops use. Is it ok to
    use a 19.2v adapter with a Mini-10?

A reasonably good day -- any day that includes that much programming, singing, and snuggling can't have been all bad. I do regret the hour I spent on the phone with Dell tech support trying to find out whether I could use a 19.2v power supply with with my 19v netbook -- I could have gone for a walk instead. (The answer appears to be no, BTW; they claim it will sharply reduce the battery life.)

I did manage to carry on an IM conversation, download the latest Ubuntu, and continue hacking on $project while on interminable hold, but...

Lots of links under the cut, mainly about Ubuntu Intrepid Ibex. Anyone still using Facebook should take a look at the Top Ten Reasons You Should Quit.

And [livejournal.com profile] rowanf posted Things that make me happy. I've always found this a difficult question to answer off the top of my head, so I found her list fascinating. Must think more about that.

There was a book published a few years ago: _14,000_Things_To_Be_Happy_About_. It was lists and lists of stuff that made the author happy, much of it foodie in nature.

My husband and I highlighted things we agreed with, I in pink, and he in blue. Purple things we resolved to try and do together.

I have surprised him years later by flipping open that book looking for purple or blue things to do to bring a smile to his face.

I think others on my friends list have "Thankful Thursday" posts to try and remember things that make them happy, too.
