Yesterday's big insight was that there are a lot of things I don't have to...

  • finish everything on my plate
  • finish everything on my to-do list
  • be satisfied with what little I can do
  • stay inside my comfort zone all the time
  • feel my emotions as deeply as other people seem to

I need to be more accepting of both myself and the universe. The universe isn't going to change at all. I'm not going to change all that much.

Life is not an all-or-nothing, every day, so true.

Just because other people appear to be feeling deeply because it shows on the surface does not mean that YOU don't feel as deeply as other people do.

There are folks who enjoy a good wallow in crying, or being angry and spreading that all over the world. That does not mean the quiet griever feels less; it means only that the quiet one is more introverted about it.

I am a burbler, and when I'm happy I bounce and grin. There are people equally happy inside their heads when I am at a con who are quietly noodling on their guitars, or drawing elves, or reading a new book for the first time.

There is no "right" way to feel something. You are who you are. And judging by your posts, you are actually a lot more insightful about yourself than many of the touchy-feeley people emoting everywhere are.
