Family visits tend to center around food; Mom's visit this weekend is no exception. Lunch was lamb, onion, and chutney open-faced sandwitches (Mom's recipe); dinner was at Arya, our favorite Persian and Italian place. (The YD was the only one who took advantage of the Italian menu. Silly child.)

A drive after dinner, showing mom the lovely Victorian houses in Los Gatos and Saratoga.

Lots of links under the cut, mostly from an extended explore of non-computable functions on Wikipedia. Bears are easily amused.

Arya looks tasty. Will have to see if Kurt is up for it. If you ever find a good Lebanese restaurant in the area, please let me know!

Italian isn't all bad.

I didn't like the stuff on the Persian menu either, Dad. I am not that crazy about Persian food. Besides, most of the Italian that I <3 is pasta that you can't eat anyway because you're glucose-intolerant. I hate that fact, but I love u the fact that you are able to find food on menus now when you head to places with the family.

Selkit's the same way, sadly. I need that glucose-free cookbook. Get on Mom's case about that for me, please? Thanks.
