She has a peripheral vision test and a neurology appointment coming up.

A has an upcoming Ped. neuro appt in midJune. Mostly to do with proper migraine meds and why he is vomiting on the order of 2-3X/week about the same time of day. have *you* ever heard of a gastric migraine? I hadn't before the ped. PCP mentioned it.

Sorry, what happened with YD?

Swollen optic nerves. Probably http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Idiopathic_intracranial_hypertension but tests are needed to rule out other, much worse, possibilities. IIH is basically "we don't know what's doing it, but we can probably treat it before you go blind".

Interesting - that was what they immediately thought my problem was before they found my tumor - which they only caught with a contrast MRI.

My thoughts are with you guys.

Apparently it's the default diagnosis: more common, but you have to rule out the other stuff first. Let's hope they have ruled out the other stuff.

Do make sure that if they haven't done a contrast MRI - that they do so.
